Tom Holland repeats his role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in Sony’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.
Sony pictures announced on Thursday that it had once again changed the release of Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man film.
This time, the hero living in Queens is due to return to the cinemas on December 17, 2021.
Holland’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was originally hurled onto the screen on July 16, 2021. However, since it was clear that production downtime would be extended, the film was postponed to November 5, 2021 in April.
It’s unclear whether Sony’s last push was due to production delays on Spider-Man, delays in other Marvel projects, or a combination of both.
The December move follows a number of others Studio slate shake-ups including Warner Bros. Press “Tenet” and Disney Delayed the release of “Mulan” as well Postpone Star Wars and Avatar films one year. Paramount Pictures also heralds “A Quiet Place Part II” and “Top Gun: Maverick” until 2021.
