ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – ABC Action News is helping animal shelters in the Tampa Bay area find a home for a dog or cat every Friday morning in our Pet of the Week segment.
This week we bring you an open-minded and loving girl. First Lady comes from Pet Pal Animal Shelter. She is a 2 1/2 year old Shar Pei mix.
According to the American Kennel Club, they are Chinese Shar-Peis famous for intelligence and loyalty, but can sometimes be suspicious of strangers and other dogs.
Shelter workers say Lady Bird walks great on a leash and loves meeting new people. You have to own your home to adopt her. And she’ll do best in a house with no young children.
Lady Bird is castrated, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.
