Patrick Mahomes is on the road to success.
Mahomes joined the performance recovery technology company Hyperice The company announced as investor and brand ambassador. The terms of his participation were not made available.
Hyperice was founded in 2010 by Anthony Katz. The company uses “percussion, vibration and thermal technology” for its recreation and fitness equipment and manufactures the Hypervolt massage device.
Mahomes will use his name and image to “further accelerate” Hyperice in the Worldwide Recovery Technology category. It will also increase brand awareness of Hyperices “newly launched” HyperSmart connected technology devices and data-driven digital ecosystem, “the company said in a press release.
“I have used Hyperice throughout my career as an important part of my overall training and recovery routines to ensure I perform at my best on game day,” Mahomes said in a statement. He said the partnership gives him the resources to “speed up my recovery time” after playing soccer.
Hyperice in March acquired NormaTec, a popular compression system that helps athletes restore muscle tissue as it seeks to gain market share in a sports technology market that is projected to be worth $ 30 billion by 2024. Jim Huether, CEO of Hyperice, told CNBC the company expects to double its $ 100 million in 2019 revenue.
The company also agreed a Deal with the National Basketball Association to fill the league’s “Official Recovery Technology Partner” sponsorship slot. Other investors in Hyperice include Memphis Grizzlies security guard Ja Morant, US Open Champion Naomi Osaka, and Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin.

“Patrick is the most dynamic and versatile young talent in the NFL. As impressive as he is on the field, his investment in and advocacy for Hyperice shows his forward-thinking approach to future success outside of the field,” he added.
Mahomes signed new contracts in 2020. In July, the Super Bowl LIV MVP signed a 10 year old $ 500 million expansion with the chiefs and became a Minority owner in Major League Baseball Royals franchise. Mahomes will also be one Equity partner in the sports nutrition company BioSteel and has sponsorship deals with State Farm, Adidas and Oakley.
Mahomes returns to the field for another domestic game against Cam Newton and New England Patriots this Sunday.
