TAMPA, Fla. – You have to watch out for dinosaurs on the paths and clowns on the carousel.
Halloween takes over ZooTampa in Lowry Park for “Creatures of the Night”. The fun-for-the-whole family event starting October 2 has enough fear to keep older kids entertained.
“We’re the middle ground,” says the event’s creative guru, Alex Crow. “Your whole family can come here and there is something for the little ones, the middle ages and the teenagers.”
There will be no bloody stuff at ZooTampa’s creepy shindig.
In fact, much of the design and art direction is downright beautiful. It’s one of the most beautiful events the park has hosted.
Crow promises that many of the haunted attractions it traverses will “increase the fear factor”. These include a super creepy swamp village (watch out for the school house) and “Dinos in the Dark”, animatronic beasts that roar at you on every corner.
Tickets start at $ 24.95. Children under 2 years are free.
The zoo encourages guests to book reservations online as many of the 11 available nights fill up quickly.
Children under the age of 12 can wear costumes. For more information on Creatures of the Night, see Click here.
