CHICAGO (AP) – Nick Foles defeated Tom Brady again, throwing 243 yards and a touchdown. Cairo Santos stepped 1:17 on a 38-yard field to lead the Chicago Bears to a 20:19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday night.
Brady never lost to Chicago as a member of the Patriots in five meetings. But when Foles faced Foles for the first time since the fall of New England against Philadelphia in Super Bowl 52, he came up short again.
Brady threw for 253 yards and a touchdown. But the Buccaneers (3-2) came shortly after their third win in a row.
Khalil Mack had two sacks. DeAndre Houston-Carson broke Brady’s fourth pass 33 seconds ahead after Santos shot the field goal and the Bears rebounded (4-1) from a weak defeat to Indianapolis.
