PINELLAS COUNTY, Florida – One of the biggest problems facing families in the Tampa Bay area is finding affordable places to live.
Elected Pinellas County Leaders, Real Estate Professionals, Forward pinellas Planning agency officials and local residents will discuss creating more affordable housing in a series of webinars running through Friday, October 9th.
The Homes for Pinellas Virtual Summit follows the county’s recent announcement that it will provide an $ 80 million fund to develop affordable housing over the next decade.

Topics include the current supply and demand for housing, innovative financing solutions for developers and local governments, the link between housing, employment and transportation, and resources for creating more affordable housing.
Executives hope to use the virtual summit to coordinate a nationwide strategy for affordable housing.
The first session starts on Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Keynote speaker Dr. Tiffany Manuel, President and CEO of TheCaseMade, will discuss building stronger, more diverse, and more inclusive communities through public will. District leaders will also talk about the challenges and opportunities in housing construction.
The series runs until December 11th.
