Friday night, the Department of Health received approximately 400,000 previously reported COVID-19 test results from the Helix Laboratory – a private laboratory not affiliated with the state of Florida.
The DOH said the enormous size of the data file and the need to duplicate hundreds of thousands of results prevented the Department of Health’s automatic reporting system from processing Friday’s results as usual.
State epidemiologists are currently working to reconcile the data. It will take a day to complete. Therefore, the daily report continues on Sunday.
The Ministry of Health advises that this reporting problem is not related to notifying people of their results. The laboratory or the agency that offered the test will notify you.
The department continues to strive to provide the Floridians with the most accurate and up-to-date COVID-19 testing and monitoring information available.
