Sitel, the global customer service manager, is on a hiring spree, offering thousands of on-site and remote positions in North America.
The company plans to fill 6,000 customer service points by the end of the year. The openings are available in the United States and Canada.
“Approximately half of the jobs we’re hiring for are out of the way,” said Samantha Johnatakis, Sitel’s senior talent acquisition manager, in an email.
The company hires remotely in 41 states. California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Washington are excluded, Johntakis said.
Sitel is recruiting for local contact center positions in the following subway areas: Augusta, Georgia; Fishers, Indiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada; Spartanburg, South Carolina; Pompano, Florida; and St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, according to a company that hires announcement.

Sitel’s current openings relate to customer service. Entries on the company’s job board indicate that the hiring initiative is focused on two positions: customer service representatives and insurance agents.
A mix of full-time, part-time and temporary jobs are available immediately.
As a customer service rep, you will help third-party customers through phone, email, live chat, and social media. You might be asking questions for big brands like Airbnb, Toms, or Michelin.
Regarding the position as an insurance agent, you will need to sell the home, auto or rental insurance and assist current subscribers with questions about their policies. You do not need an insurance license at the time of your application, but you must pass the relevant exams and acquire a license in the course of your employment.
Both jobs are entry-level jobs, although some experience is preferred. You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED to qualify.
