WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Treasury Department announced Monday that it has issued the next round of economic impact payments from President Joe Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus package, with many of the payments in the form of checks and debit cards sent through the mail.
The Treasury Department announced that electronic payments sent via direct deposit in the final round of withdrawals will have an official payment date on Wednesday, March 24th. Some recipients see them earlier than pending deposits in their bank accounts.
The Internal Revenue Service urged eligible Americans who do not have direct deposit to pay close attention to their mail this week to receive a white envelope from the US Treasury Department.
